In fact, we would even venture to say that the perfection of the texture and the intricacies of the flavor in this sweet confection are really no laughing matter at all.
However, as it turns out, Laffy Taffy did not derive its name from an epidemic of uncontrollable giggles breaking out whenever anyone took a bite. Each piece of the sweet stuff includes a jolly joke written on the wrapper, and this is really the only laughter-inducing component of Laffy Taffy.
So unwrap a piece, and as you sink your teeth into the sweet grape confection, feel free to take a gander at the joke. Just try not to laugh while chewing… we dare you!
