Good & Plenty is the oldest branded candy in the United States, having been created in 1893 by the Quaker City Confectionery Company of Philadelphia. Though it has changed hands many times (and is now crafted by Hershey’s), the pristine sugar candy coating and delicious black licorice interior has remained a delicious staple of American candy cuisine for over a century!

While we don’t know for certain how the name originated (we like to imagine it was derived from a train-of-thought that went something along the lines of, "How good are these new candies? They’re plenty good! Well now, there’s an idea."), we do know that we are plenty glad they were invented.
