Built on the dream of an Italian-American named Vincenzo Sconza, the Sconza Candy Company has grown from kitchen-made confections to worldwide success. In 1922, Vincenzo traveled from Italy to America, eventually landing in Oakdale, California, where he worked as a pasta maker. At night, he tested sweets recipes and shared them with family and neighbors. Devoured by his fans, his brittle candy was his first success. He and his wife began fulfilling orders of the delicious stuff, and in 1939, Vincenzo left his job at the pasta factory to start his very own family-run confection company, his dream - Sconza.
