Espeez Candy was created by brothers Sam and Alan Popowcer in 1993, after enjoying success as proprietors of a chain of novelty stores originating in Las Vegas, Nevada. Recognizing the demand for novelty candies, the brothers began production of their own brand and soon brought in the help of their parents, Bob and Arlene Popowcer, to oversee day to day operations. In 2003, the company took a fresh approach with the business and shifted focus from novelty sweets to the burgeoning world of highly popular nostalgic candies.
