The U.S. division of Leaf Brands was eventually sold to the Hershey Candy Company in 1996, but that’s not where this sweet’s journey ended. Through another transaction, the rights to these tasty snacks were sold to SweetWorks Confections, a New York based company. Where does the Sixlets name come from? Did it come from the number of candies in the original package? Was it created by someone who had six kids?
