Fruit Stripe Bubble Gum Packs - Bubblegum: 12-Piece Box

Invented in the early 1960s by James Parker, Fruit Stripe gum is an eclectic mix of five flavors in a zebra-striped package! This brand began as a part of a line of chewing gum produced by Beech-Nut and is the only one to feature wild zebra-like stripes on each piece. In addition to having a far-out cherry, orange, lime, mixed fruit, and lemon flavor, each piece had a temporary tattoo adorned on its wrapper, making it a favorite among children and adults. In 1968, this company merged with Squibb and then was acquired by Nabisco in 1981. After continuing success, the brand changed hands again to Hershey’s in 1999, and then to Farley & Sather’s in 2003. Recently, this pop-culture favorite landed under the ownership of Ferrara Candy Company and continues to delight taste buds across all generations!

Fruit Stripe is a wild sensory ride of color and flavor with fun, interactive tattoos on every wrapper! Made by the Ferrara Candy Company, this chewing gum features zany stripes on each flavorful piece, and every pack includes five mouthwatering tastes of Wet-N-Wild Melon, Cherry, Lemon, Orange, and Peach Smash! It is also available in Cherry, Grape, Mixed Fruit, Lemon, and Cotton Candy-flavored bubble gum! No one can resist the temptation of this multi-colored treat or the lure of a different wet and stick temporary tattoo on each wrapper! Birthday parties and kids events wouldn’t be the same without the antics of Yipes, the cute and cartoony zebra mascot, who makes an ordinary party feel like a safari adventure! Experience the endless fun of this pop-culture favorite along with the wild and wonderful world of other popular nostalgic candy available in stock at Candy Warehouse!

Fun Facts- Once upon a time, there were more animals included in the safari of fun surrounding this brand’s advertising promotions. The Stripe Animal Family included a tiger, an elephant, and a mouse, but the zebra named Yipes won out in the end as the favored mascot. His cartoon design hasn’t changed much since the chewing gum first hit the scene in the early 60s, and he is featured on Fruit Stripe flavors engaging in all sorts of fun activities like skateboarding, playing baseball, hang gliding, and of course, eating grass! This company built on their wild animal theme in 1996 by donating up to $100,000 to the World Wildlife Fund, and continues to be one of America’s most loved old fashioned candies on the market to this day!
