We advise placing your candy orders with us approximately six weeks prior to your event. By starting early, we can check inventory levels, special order any out-of-stock items, help you find replacement products and ship your order to you in the most economical way. The actual time it takes us to process and send out your order will be anywhere between two to eight business days depending on the shipping method you select (expedited air or ground shipping).
Also, we love collaborating with our customers and it is always easiest to work together and give you the attention you need with time on our side!
If you can, consider ordering candy for any summer event during cooler months and store them unopened in a dry, safe, cool place. So long as you properly store your candy, they should be fine for two to three months. Because some candies are heat sensitive (e.g., chocolates, gummies, taffies, etc.), sending them via ground from our warehouse in California to Florida in the middle of August is simply not prudent (unless you like your candy in one giant, melted glob).
If you do end up having to place your order during warm weather and need to ship heat-sensitive products, we have custom-programmed our online checkout page to offer you the option to split your shipments. This unique system allows those items requiring faster shipping to be sent via air and all other items not as susceptible to heat to be sent via ground shipping (providing significant savings to you, our valued customer!).
Regardless of the season, once you receive your order, always make sure to store your stash unopened and in a cool (but not refrigerated), dry place.
