Thompson Chocolate Fun Facts

When Thompson first got the inspiration to create his own chocolate company, he needed to learn from the best. He met with the founder of Whitman’s Candies, Stephan Whiteman, in Philadelphia and got some sugar-coated advice from him. While there, he also met Hershey’s founder Milton Hershey and they formed a bit of a sweet squad. Decades after opening up his very first shop, Thompson’s small store eventually evolved into Thompson Candy Company in 1934 and has been supplying us with delicious chocolate candy ever since.
