"I just had to tell you about how a Hot Tamale saved myself and 197 Showband members. I play the Alto Sax in Kamiak High School's (Mukilteo, WA) Marching Showband. Two weeks ago @ a Field Show Competition someone bumped my mouth during practice - my mouthpiece slipped and cut the inside of my mouth. It hurt everytime I tried to play, because it rubbed against my braces. I needed wax, but no one had any. I was so desperate! My mom had a box of Hot Tamales and suggested trying to get one to stick to my brace. I thought she was crazy, but it worked and it lasted until the end of our performance. Which was wonderful, because points are taken away from the Band final score if you can't play. By the way we took 4th, which was pretty good for the 1st show of the season.
