Zotz Sour Candy Fizz Strings - Blue Raspberry: 48-Piece Display
American B-movie maker William Castle is credited with a bizarre 1962 film titled Zotz in which an Ancient Eastern languages professor finds a magic amulet that empowers him with the ability to afflict extreme pain on another person without moving a muscle. Surely the screenwriter knew that in a variety of Mayan languages the nonsensical American comic book-friendly word Zotz refers to bats (the vampiric mammal with wings, not the baseball kind. Wait, did Mayans play baseball?), since the movie poster promoting the film features the professor in flight and reads: "Everyone is flipping for Zotz! The magic word for fun." We've never imagined that the life of a bat is ever characterized as tons of fun, but we're confident about one thing: the sour fizz candies that we munched on as kids offer loads of pleasure. This latest incarnation of Zotz includes the anything-but-boring blue raspberry flavor. In each of these sugary tidbits, a sweet berry electric-blue hard candy shell holds a pinch of sour crystals that burst into a tingly fizz in your mouth. Be forewarned: these candies will turn your tongue blue, but they are well worth it. As Castle quipped at the end of his movie: "Zotz all, folks."
