History of Trolli Gummy Candy

The enchanting story of Trolli candy dates back to just after World War II when the owner of a noodles and pasta making company had a change of heart. Willy Mederer saw that sugar was becoming easier and cheaper to get hold of. That gave him an idea! He decided to turn his company into a confectionery manufacturer. From that defining moment, the company started making many of our sweet dreams come true. Showcasing the latest innovations in the world of sweet treats, the brand has become wildly popular. From sour candy rings to burgers, the company makes it all.

Trolli Fun Facts

Fun fact time! Here’s something that you might not know. You may know and love the Trolli name now, but did you know that it’s not the original brand name? When Willy Mederer first set up the company, he called it Wilmed instead, presumably after himself. Over the years, the sour candies manufacturer became world-famous, but in 1975, it was time for a change. It was that year that the business switched names and became the Trolli Company instead. And the rest is history! Interesting stuff, right?
