Swedish Fish Candy
Fresh from the frigid, sugary waters of the North Atlantic, schools of Swedish Fish are the perfect sugar snack for high tide or low. You won’t need a purse seiner or trawler, but only a click or two of the mouse to net yourself a haul of the ubiquitous sugary fish. Better still, Swedish Fish are far, far more palatable than their Nordic piscine cousins, lutefisk (a whitefish treated in lye), lumpfish caviar (eggs from a rather monstrous looking fish) or pickled herring (herring…pickled). There are the traditional red Swedish Fish for the more orthodox gummy candy eater, as well as Fish Eggs and Mini Swedish Fish for those with a bit more of the Viking spirit.
